This is one of my favorite meditations to do. After completing this meditation, I often feel calmer, fully present in the moment, and more aware of my surroundings.

I've used this resource:

  • as a way to transition participants into my workshop

  • as a way to center myself as I transitioned from one task to another

  • to focus myself when I’m feeling distracted

  • to calm myself after experiencing an amygdala hijack* moment, etc.

*When you feel threatened and afraid, the amygdala automatically activates the fight-or-flight response by sending out signals to release stress hormones that prepare your body to fight or run away. This response is triggered by emotions like fear, anxiety, aggression, and anger.
